Kindergarten
Kindergarten is offered to children ages 5 and 6. These students participate in the morning preschool portion of our day where they create wonderful friendships, become fantastic leaders, and explore the classroom with their peers. We offer differentiated learning throughout our morning and meet each child where they are at. During our more focused learning time, we offer extension work as needed and we have many different levels of work baskets on the shelves at all times. Our kindergartens stay for lunch and through the afternoon rest time. Because they are older than 4 years old and not required by the state to rest, they receive one-on-one instruction throughout this time. We utilize Primary Phonics and Writing without Tears for language arts studies and then a variety of Montessori methods for mathematics. The majority of the science and social studies learning takes place in the morning. Art and music happen all day long! Because of this very small group, the Kindergartners are also able to choose their course of study and we support their interests by providing the materials needed. The kindergarten students leave Seaside Village as confident, well-educated, children who are socially, emotionally, and academically ready for first grade!
Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-3:00 PM; Fridays 8:30 AM-12:45 PM
Beforecare is available from 7:30-8:30 AM
